Hello to all our listeners/readers out there. I've taken a break from my weeklong bout of the flu/hangover to give you an update on what's going on around here.

First off, the next podcast episode is going to be delayed a week until the 22nd. Due to the aforementioned flu and hangover, as well as technical difficulties, work and assorted other events we have been unable to get the show recorded.

Secondly, my mixer board and microphones are here! yay! so starting with the next episode you should hopefully notice a sizeable step up in production quality.

Thirdly, in next weeks show we will be featuring commentary on the house episodes "Top Secret" and "Fetal Position", a brief discussion on the other TV shows on at the moment: Jericho, 24, Drive, etc. And finally I am pleased to announce that George Hrab has given us permission to feature some of his music in our podcast. (Thanks again if you're reading!)

So as was pretty much expected the iTV (now called apple TV) was demoed. Looks very nice, streams HD (low end HD - the 720p), has a 40 gig Hard drive, wireless (b, g and n[!]) . Video, music, photos as expected.

The other biggy was the iPhone - again as expected. ONLY BETTER.
The list of features on this thing is incredible. Too incredible for me to list them all in fact.

Music was supplied by John Mayer. Whose song "Gravity" was also featured on an episode of house (cane and able)

New apple ads are also pretty sweet.

Nothing completely out of the left field, but the iPhone was so unexpectedly good that I'm willing to forgive.

Well done to apple from me, they've done it again.

Edit: Also!! It's been brought to my attention that the AirPort Extreme base station was quietly upgraded. I'll be picking this up to go with the Pre-n in my macbook pro

OK listeners, here's your chance to contribute to the podcast.

Recently I've had a couple of comments (housecast [at] googlemail [dot] com) that our intro is a bit too long. I'd like to hear peoples opinions on this, is it too long? is it just fine?

I'd welcome submissions of a new intro if anyone's willing to put in the time.

Similarly I'm also looking for fresh album art to replace the current art on the ITunes podcast directory. The one that's up now is a scanned and slightly photoshopped sketch I did, and I'm far from a good artist.

Also, I'm happy to play/show any other user generated content: I'll link to youtube movies, play audio reviews, read letters, put up banner art, buttons etc.

Eventually I'd like to turn this podcast into something all House fans can contribute to.

Spoilers up to episode 5

I love this show.

Nice to see the team starting to get together, even if there's a rather large amount of Deus Ex Machina to get them together. Hiro has met Nathan, Peer is working with Isaak to save Claire and is about to meet up with Hiro. Excellent. Now all we're waiting for is Evil Nikki (it's gonna happen).

The comic booky/cinematic style of the show also appeals to me greatly, I love the cliffhanger at the end of each "issue" and I love the way in which each episode ratchets up the tension.

Poor Weisz (Greg Grunberg), he always ends up unconscious or something. I blame JJ Abraams,

I think that's all I need to say.

In episode 3 we discuss Informed Consent and play music by the Brobdingnagain Bards. We're also MASSIVELY hungover.

Mark is away for Episode 4 so I managed to aquire a guest host in the form of Matt, a good friend of mine and we have a Halloween show - playing Halloween music, Matt's band and generally babbling. It should be noted that there will be no discussion of House in this episode as Matt doesn't watch it. This episode will be released on Halloween in a break from the usual schedule.

Episode 5 gets recorded on saturday and will return to the normal routine of sunday posting.

Finally, the stats seem to indicate that we have a few subscribers now. Many thanks to you all for listening to our ramblings. This whole thing is a work in progress and we should slowly start to improve. Starbuck's a dumbass, from the beginning that kid was waaaaay too old. Loved the arrival of the Galactica, didn't imagine it happening exactly like that; loved the atmospheric effects of things suddenly appearing and dissapearing.

Brilliant ending. Goodbye moustache, hello darkness (Tigh and Kara). Wonder what Lee's gonna do with no ship? back to the vipers? I hope so. Baltar is off with el cylonos now, swively chair goodness in the near future I suspect. I frakking love this show...
